Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” And I said, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.”~Isaiah 6:8
We are continually striving to “equip disciples of Jesus Christ for mission and ministry.” We seek to make ways available for everyone to offer their prayers, presence, gifts and service to be used by God for the work of Christ’s kingdom. That’s the full meaning of “stewardship” — the faithful use of what God has given us for God’s work in the church and the world. This happens within our congregation, in the community, and literally around the world.
Our church is transformed generally for one week in February into a shelter for the homeless. We partner with the ChristNetdaycenter as a rotating shelter to provide hot meals, a warm place to sleep and bag lunches during the day.
This ministry requires:
Set up crew to get the church in order
Meal teams to prepare and organize breakfast and dinners
Night hosts to stay overnight with our guests
If you would like more information or would like to be involved in this ministry contact the church
Coffee Hour is a direct extension of what we do in our worship service. It provides a space for us to greet one another, continue a discussion about our worship experience, and offers a welcoming environment to all. The wonderful people who provide the snacks and prepare the coffee are our host/ess. This is, at its core, a hospitality ministry, ensuring that all who come through the door can be made to feel at home. If you would like to be a host/ess for coffee hour, you can contact our church office.
Do you enjoy weddings? Would you like to help other people make their wedding day special?
Wedding Hospitality Coordinators are uniquely gifted people who feel called to a ministry that seeks to bring a friendly and compassionate presence to the bride and groom as well as their wedding parties during their rehearsal and wedding day. Wedding Hospitality Coordinators are those who wear a name tag, greet people, and help them with any questions or problems that might arise.
If you would like to be a part of this vital hospitality ministry let our pastor know!
